Defense Entrepreneurs Forum

DEF will be hosting an overview of the DEF 3.0 vision with our Executive Director, Morgan Plummer, on April 11 at 9 PM Eastern via Zoom Online. Morgan will be sharing about DEF’s focus as an organization and then discuss what some of the opportunities are to get involved with DEF beyond participating in your local community.

At the national level, DEF is a team of teams that supports a network of local communities and individual innovators by providing core services. These include national programs, marketing, community development, giving, finance, external engagement and business operations. Volunteer team leads coordinate support and ideas from across the organization to deliver tangible results, and often work as team members across different efforts (like marketing and business operations, or community development and marketing). We aspire to live out DEF’s core values of being agile, inclusive, people-focused, decentralized and action-oriented.

In case you weren’t aware, the Defense Entrepreneurs Forum is a non-profit network of problem solvers in the military, government and private sector that work together to promote innovation in the national security community. The mission of DEF is to inspireconnect and empower those people by convening events, forging partnerships and delivering tangible solutions. This involves not only monthly gatherings around the world, but periodic DEFx events, an annual conference, and ongoing collaboration via Slack, Facebook and LinkedIn. We also maintain a Firestarter Fellowship and Cloud Advisory think tank to connect members with resources to help them advance and share our viewpoints on key issues as a community.

If you are interested in national security, DEF is a great way to connect with likeminded people while also making a difference. We would love to share more with you and find a place for you to get more involved!

Why should I register if this is a free event? We want to provide people the opportunity to ask questions or share information in advance – registering helps us do that in a more efficient way so that everyone gets the most value out of the event possible.

How can I contact the organizer with any questions? Feel free to message DEF any questions you may have on Facebook in advance, or shoot us an email. We don’t like spam, but are interested in just about anything else that falls into DEF lanes, so, when in doubt, reach out! We are, after all, about connecting people.
