The Defense Entrepreneurs Forum (DEF) exists to bring military and civilian innovators together, connecting and empowering leaders by creating a culture of innovation in the defense community. The mission of DEF is “Inspire – Connect – Empower” and involves not only monthly gatherings around the world, but periodic DEFx events, an annual conference, and ongoing collaboration via Slack, Facebook and LinkedIn. Drink & Think events are a foundational way of connecting the defense innovation community. Other offerings include TED talk-style presentation followed by Q&A and networking.
This event will start with an overview of DEF, followed by words about start-up lessons learned from our guest speaker, Chad Jones, then ample time for Q&A and networking. Thanks to Design Thinking Denver for sponsoring the event!
With over 23 years of experience driving strategic initiatives for start-ups and F50 companies alike, Chad Jones has guided effective and profitable outcomes including six exits to companies such as Microsoft, Vmware, and Intel. He is currently the CEO of PlessoVentures, Inc. but has held Chief Strategy Officer positions at Deep Information Systems, VP of Internet of Things Strategy at LogMeIn, and VP of Product Management with Neocleus(acquired by Intel) among others. He was also the co-creator of Softricityapp virtualization, acquired by Microsoft, which grew to revenues topping $6 billion. He has been a guest lecturer at Harvard, Boston College, Boston University, MIT and TEDx.

How can I contact the organizer with any questions? Feel free to message DEF any questions you may have on Facebook in advance, or shoot us an email.
