2017 is off to a strong start for the Defense Entrepreneurs Forum. As part of our growth this year, we want to know what DEF means to you. Do you think of DEF as a series of conferences, a network of innovators and entrepreneurs, or a community of military reformers? Is your favorite part of DEF our small group Agoras, DEFx events, the annual conference, or something else? Post your response on the Facebook Discussion Forum or send it here to share your thoughts.
The Hoover Institution will host a discussion of the Total Volunteer Force summary report authored by DEF participant Dr. Tim Kane on Thursday, February 2nd from 4:00pm until 5:3opm EST. Admiral Gary Roughead (Ret.) will serve as the keynote speaker, followed by Dr. Kane’s presentation and panel and audience discussion.
Interested in sharing your ideas with the defense community, getting a paper published, and possibly winning a cash prize? The 2017 General William DePuy Special Topics Writing Competition topic is “What needs to be fixed in the Army?”
DEF Agoras are surging! If you’re interested in connecting to the Defense Innovation community in your area, check out the existing groups, or contact Gary Klein to get some helpful information about how to start an Agora.
